This spark extinguishing system detects sparks and smoldering particles in a fraction of a second after they appear. Once detected, the spark extinguishing mechanism is immediately activated. Unlike other fire extinguishing systems, spark extinguishing systems help prevent fire at the initial stage.
This system can recognize the smallest sparks and hot or smoldering particles in pneumatic transport lines and instantly react by activating automatic extinguishing and shutting down the production line. All these measures are taken in a split second.
To detect the source of a possible fire, photosensitive sensors are used that respond to infrared, thermal and ultraviolet radiation from sparks, fire of hot materials, and smoldering particles.
Highly sensitive sensors, which can even detect sparks covered by layers of dust or transported bulk material, send signals to the control module, which analyzes these signals and then automatically activates targeted countermeasures.
The signal is sent to automatic spark extinguishing devices located in the direction of material movement behind the spark detectors. Automatic spark extinguishing generates an immediate appearance of a fine water mist in the section of the pipeline where flying sparks are detected. If the detector does not signal an alarm any further, the water mist supply is automatically stopped. Spark detection sensors are used in the furniture industry, as well as in industries where aspiration exhaust systems are installed (e.g., wood, textile, paper, grain, etc.).
Enclosure with GM826SD control module

The GM826SD spark suppression control module is a modular control unit designed to power and control spark detection sensors of any type (smoke, flame, heat, spark, gas). It consists of a single GM826SD module connected to a GMALM15SW power supply.
The GM826SD module is equipped with 8 input lines (sections), balanced by a resistor, which controls the connection cables when installed at the end of the line to which the sensors are connected. Most fire detectors available on the market can be connected to the control unit, starting with optical smoke detectors, smoke curtains, and various types of detectors: spark, heat, flame, gas, etc. with relay alarm output.
The control module can control alarm signals coming from the detectors connected to the line in various ways, with the ability to control separately: internal sirens, external sirens with independent power supply, electric valves, magnets for fire partitions, telephone switches, radio relay lines, etc.

Spark detection sensor GMSC243T-EX

Light-sensitive sensors, using an electronic circuitry specially designed for this application, respond to infrared, thermal and ultraviolet radiation from sparks, fire, hot materials, and smoldering particles. Highly sensitive sensors can even detect sparks covered by layers of dust or bulk material being transported and send signals to the control module.
Test lamp GMTEST2-EX

The test lamp is designed to check the system’s performance. The lamp is installed on the same level as the sensors and when it is turned on, the automatic spark extinguishing system should be activated
Solenoid valve

The solenoid valve is an effective electromechanical device designed to regulate the flow of water in the system. The liquid must be supplied to the system with a pressure of at least 2 bar.
When the solenoid valve is triggered, water under pressure is supplied to the nozzle (nozzle), through which dispersed water is sprayed (water mist).
Nozzles

The nozzles are installed inside the duct. Thanks to the special design of the nozzle and the high pressure of the supplied water, a water mist is created that extinguishes sparks as they pass through the duct. Using this method of extinguishing sparks makes it possible to minimize the flow of liquid into the air ducts and thus not harm the production process.
Signaling system

These elements of the system are triggered by the control module when an emergency occurs, and give audible and visual signals.
Batteries to support the autonomous operation of the GMBT21A system
The batteries are installed in the control module housing. The presence of batteries guarantees the system operation even when the module power is turned off
