Units of this series are recommended for use in enterprises with 2-3 shift loads in the chemical, coal, and woodworking industries.

The PJF.150.Bd.C filter unit is equipped with bag filters made of antistatic oil- and moisture-repellent material with a capacity of 32,400 m3/h and a pulse system for regenerating the filters with compressed air. This system is assembled using modular panels made of galvanized sheet metal with a thickness of 2.5 to 4 mm, which provides a modular structure of the unit and allows the design of units with different capacities according to customer requirements.

  • The filter elements consist of bag filters made of antistatic oil- and moisture-repellent material with a diameter of 160 mm, a length of 3000 mm, and a filter fabric density of 550 g/m². The working side of the filter is treated with a special compound for easy cleaning.
  • The pulse cleaning system of the filter unit allows the working surface of the filter to be cleaned of contaminants.

This design and operating principle of the filter unit has a number of advantages and allows you to achieve:

Several unloading systems are available for this type of unit:

– into a big bag

– into a container

– a system for unloading waste from an intermediate hopper using a screw conveyor.


How it works: (Run-out system)

This type of discharge is used in most small aspiration systems and is based on the flowability of materials and the force of gravity. At a surface angle of 65º, most materials slide off the surface in a given direction under the force of gravity. A simple and reliable system for small installations with one or two discharge cones.

Contaminated air containing waste particles generated during the production process is sucked in and transported to the unit through a system of air ducts. Contaminated air enters the settling chamber, where heavier particles fall into the dust collection compartment of the installation, and small light particles fall onto the outer side of the antistatic bag filters with a density of 550 g/m2. There they are retained on the specially treated outer surface. The purified air passes inside the bag filter and returns to the production room with minimal temperature loss. The filter unit performs fine filtration of contaminated air, which makes it possible to return purified air to the workshop. The filter unit is equipped with a pulse filter regeneration system. A pulse of compressed air is directed into the filter to meet the flow of clean air. During the pulse, the fabric slaps against the inner metal frame of the filter. The accumulated dust is knocked off the treated outer side of the filter.

This cleaning system ensures:

✓ The filters remain operational throughout the entire working time during 2-3 shifts without technical breaks.

✓ Guaranteed cleaning of filters from fine dust.

✓ Uniform feed of waste into the bunker of the installation for further unloading or transportation.


Antistatic filter repelling moisture and oil

Bag filters are used for air purification at the vast majority of industrial enterprises that emit dust and gas into the atmosphere, such as: woodworking and metallurgical plants, cement manufacturers, asphalt concrete plants, power plants, waste incineration plants, tobacco factories, chemical plants, etc.
Today, bag filters are the most common, effective, and cost-effective element for filtration systems in the world.
In the vast majority of industries, bag filters consistently provide the highest level of dust collection performance, with the necessary hydromechanical resistance and reliability.
During the operation of fabric filters, dust gradually accumulates in the pores of the filter material and on its surface. As the volume of dust increases, so does the hydromechanical resistance of the material. As a result, the pores and filter surface become clogged, the filter’s performance decreases, and the filter is unable to pass gas. Therefore, in order to keep the filter in working order, it is necessary to regularly remove dust from the pores of the filter material.
The process of removing part of the dust layer in fabric filters is called regeneration, which restores the original properties of the filter material.


Filter block cleaning system

 

The filter unit cleaning system includes a receiver designed to accumulate the required volume of air and pulse valves from a European manufacturer. The valves are located above each row of filters and are activated at intervals set by the controller, which are set depending on the fraction of dust deposited on the filters. After the unit is turned off, the air accumulated in the receiver triggers a cleaning cycle for all filters. The entire system cleans the filters and keeps them in working order throughout the entire operating time.

Security systems:

The unit is equipped with three passive safety systems:
Explosion-proof panels act as devices for releasing excess pressure and constitute an ATEX protection system. Necessary to prevent and reduce the risk of explosions, in accordance with the requirements of Directive 94/9/EC – ATEX
Explosion relief panels – this safety system consists of a rectangular composite membrane, which consists of one or more metal sections with through slots and a sealing element. It is installed between rectangular flanges with a smooth sealing surface. Used in aspiration systems to protect bag filters. Operates under tension, pressure acts on a flat or concave surface, ideal for operation at the lowest pressure and static loads. Activates in thousandths of a second without forming metal fragments.
✓ The fire extinguishing system consists of a dry pipe with a series of nozzles located in the filter block. The system is connected to the enterprise’s water supply system. In case of fire or smoke detection in the installation, it is necessary to open the water supply tap and the nozzles located inside the filter block will supply water and extinguish the fire inside the installation.
✓ Fire-retardant valve with a low-melting insert. The valve prevents fire from entering the production room through the air return system in an emergency. When the temperature of the clean air entering the room after filtration through the air return system rises to 70 °C, a mechanism is activated that closes the valve and prevents smoke or fire from entering the production room.


Maintenance of the unit

The design of the PJF.150.Bd.C series unit is such that all maintenance work on the cleaning system or filter unit is carried out in the clean area of the filter unit. For safe operation at height, the unit is equipped with a ladder and a platform with a fence for safe working. The fans are located on the foundation for easy maintenance.
